Some historical information about me (not a complete history, but close)
- Born (September 4, 1961) and raised in Northeast Philadelphia
- I am the oldest of 4 children (2 brothers and 1 sister)
- Attended Solis-Cohen Elementary School where I
was the
Editor-in-Chief of the school yearbook, Chronicle
- and then Woodrow Wilson Middle School where
I did not do much
- I was licensed by the State of Pennsylvania as an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic on December 4, 1977
- Graduated Northeast High School in Philadelphia in 1979,
where I was a member of Project SPARC (
SPAce Research Capsule) and a founder of the Emergency First Aid Team (EFAT).
- I was a Volunteer FireFighter/EMT with the Borough of Rockledge PA Fire Department
- On September 13, 1978, I completed the Philadelphia Electric Company Electrical Hazards traing for FireFighters Class
- On October 1, 1978, I completed the Philadelphia Electric Company Gas FireFighters training class
- I was also a volunteer EMT/driver with Second Alarmers Rescue Squad of Montgomery County PA starting in 1979
- I completed Rescue I training at the Montgomery County Fire Training School on April 8, 1979
- On May 20th, 1979 I completed the Pennsylvania DOT 'Handling Hazardous Materials Transportation Emergencies on the Highway' training course
- I completed FireFighting I training at the Montgomery County Fire Training School on November 11, 1979
- I completed Rescue II training at the Montgomery County Fire Training School on November 18, 1979
- Obtained my Technician Class Amateur Radio License (N3CAN) on March 27, 1981
- By 1981, I had donated over 300 hours as an instructor for the American Red Cross
- Graduated Penn State Abington in 1981 with an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology
- Worked a 6 month Co-Op assignment at Three Mile Island in 1982 (no, not mopping floors :-) )
- Volunteered as a FireFighter/EMT with the Middletown (Liberty Fire Company)
- Graduated Penn State Harrisburg in 1983 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering Technology

- Starting in 1983 through 1986, I was the vice chairman of Disaster Services for the Greater Nashua NH Chapter of the American Red Cross as well as a Advanced First Aid and CPR instructor
- Served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Nashua NH Chapter of the American Red Cross
- On October 4, 1984, I completed the Stevens Advanced Drivers Training Course
- Completed driving training at the Skip Barber Driving School
- My son, Adam was born on March 30, 1989 in Orlando FL :-)
- My daughter, Rebecca was born on April 20, 1992 in Melbourne FL :-)
- Since 1998, I have worked as a FireFighter/Driver/First Responder for the New Durham NH Volunteer Fire Department
- Completed Driver Certification course for Fire Apparatus/EMS from the National Academy for Professional Driving in July 1999
- Completed New Hampshire Fire Academy Driver/Operator: All Vehicle training August 1999
- On March 5, 2002, I had Lasik eye surgery at Excellent Vision Eye & Laser Center in Portsmouth NH, by Dr. Richard Lasonde, with outstanding results (20/15)
- 2004, 2005 - Completed Police Advanced Driver Training from Stevens Advanced Driver Training
- April 2006, joined the Highlanders Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol and was assigned as the Safety, Communications and Health Services Officer
- April 2006, Completed ICS-100, ICS-200 and ICS-700 training classes from FEMA
- May 2006, Acted as Tracking officer for CAP NH Wing Rocket Competition
- May 2006, Attended Northeast Regional CAP Cadet Drill Competition as a chaperon
- May 2006, Assigned as Deputy Emergency Management Director for the Town of New Durham NH
- January 2008, Completed ICS-800, 802, 804 and 805 training classes from FEMA
- February 2009, Appointed as a Lieutentant of the New Durham Fire Department
- Upgraded to a General Class Amateur Radio License (N3CAN) on Oct 30, 2010
- May 2015, Promoted to Captain of the New Durham Fire Department
